I got additional tripod than I necessary with this purchase. The head is big and bulky, which is really a great factor if you want stable video movement. I got this tripod because I wanted something that fit a tripod dolly (wheels) that I was buying for additional versatility, so I got them together. Nonetheless, my video camera for the moment is just a tiny little Sony NEX-5, so I don't think I'm going to have the ability to use this tripod with my camera, no less than not anyplace that may possibly be seen by any one and get laughed at. The NEX-5 even with a substantial lens would appear ridiculous sitting on leading of this huge tripod head. I saw the pictures but clearly I didn't believe it via when I bought, I guess I saw "smooth panning" as a feature and I instantly added to cart. I've observed tripods at Most effective Acquire and the like, and at this price point they had been far lighter and flimsier, so I'm not complaining, just be sure that the tripod matches the camera!
