This tripod has been with me all over Africa and Central America, together with serving me properly at dwelling within the States. It can be lightweight and super easy to pack up and carry about - it fits inside of a medium sized suitcase or straps nicely to a backpack; the carry bag is durable and not too large or small - I really like the inner pocket for spare camera batteries and memory cards. It truly is solid enough to securely hold a 5D having a huge zoom lens. For stills the tripod locks down properly and has a massive range of heights, and I've even made use of this tripod for video - despite the fact that there's no pan manage, the ball head is fluid enough for basic pans/tilts.
